Another off-centre turning, from an 8-inch sycamore bowl blank, inspired by Martin’s excellent demo. Coloured with HS Intrinsic Flame, Honey and Burnt Orange, with a bit of subtle texturing. Colours were applied partly by airbrush (my first go at that) and then with tissue paper and the whole piece was then finished with HS pre-thinned sanding sealer and Chestnut acrylic lacquer, from a rattle can. The instrument is a thermometer and hygrometer, bought some time ago from Prokraft, I think. I have yet to finish the back, but will probably follow Martin’s method of filling the holes and painting it black!
