My textured bowl is the culmination of several experiments! I used a Dremel to create the groves on the rim and then covered it in black lacquer. I then rubbed it down and stained the exposed part with orange and red. Once the bowl cup was turned, I gloss lacquered the piece. This piece is about 6” wide and I planned to make a larger on, but … time ran out.
