Hand on heart, I’m not a fan of “stitched” bowls and vases. I do appreciate the artistry involved but its just not my thing. Anyhow, in support of the club challenge for August, I picked a chunk of Cherry from my scrap stash, too big a split to work with and destined for the local tip. 22cm (8 inches) tall coloured with Forrest Green and Honey intrinsic colours, the last gasp from HS gloss spray, both Yorkshire grits and final coat of HS Gloss wax.. Then used a staple gun.. My first (and probably last) stitched vase.
